regarding the Interstate Agreement on Detainers:
After sending a request for final disposition of an untried charge, the response was that they did not intend to retain custody and requested that the detainer be lifted.
At that point was the charge considered null and void and supposed to be dismissed with predjudice? Can one be arrested on the same charge, same warrant nearly two years later after returning to the state where originally charged? I assumed that the D.A. just didn't file a motion to dismiss, or just "dropped the ball". At this time the person charged is now in jail on this charge only.​
