I am in escrow for a home purchase in CA. Property is in conservatorship. Owner has property in Alaska. Conversator is in Alaska and the court there has approved the sale and will "review" documents/procedure. I was told there court "review" in CA was not required, and no "open bidding process" (similar to probate) would be held. Now the title company says it is required. If so, I could lose the home, or have to pay significanty more. I have already spent a couple thousand dollars for inspections, moved cash from my stocks to my bank account taking significant losses, invested lots of time, and was planning of renovating the home and selling it again for a huge profit. The home was on the market for over one month, over 500 people viewed it and a few offers were presented but all very low due to the renovations that are required. What is the law? What are my options? Thanks.
