What is the name of your state? Washington

I invested in a project by transferring a part of my 401K to a self-directed IRA that run by a trust company for the project's partnership. The partnership has filed chapter 7 bankruptcy but the trust still shows (via their online web site) that my account still has the balance of the investment. Do I have the right to take a distribution from this? Would the money still show if it wasn't there?

The likelihood is that the website information is not current and the funds are not there. Try taking the money and see what happens.
