What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? Ohio. Is it advisable for a woman to divorce, if her husband of many years, spends most of his time in other countries, with other women; & he is now being audited by the IRS about his international finances, which have cost dearly, not benefited, his wife & children/grandchildren?

She really ought to seek local legal counsel.

The decision to divorce is one that she must make based on her circumstances and the feelings she has for her husband, and no one here will know her situation anywhere close enough to advise her on that.

As to the audit, she may want to wait to see what the results of the audit are before getting worried about that. It may be that the audit will close with no money due to the IRS or with an amount owed that can easily be paid. So it may turn out not to be a big deal. If it does become a big liability, then she can see a tax professional for her options and how a divorce might impact those options.

The only other thing you mention is that he is away a lot and spends time with other women, and that would seem to be the main problem with the relationship. That is also something that a lawyer cannot help much with. It is up to her to decide whether she wants to continue to put up with that or not.
