What is the name of your state?Tennessee
My father made a will years ago, I am his daughter and I have poa, haven't had any problems but dad has Alzheimers, and is getting worse. My question is, I need a irrevocable poa, is there such a thing in tenn? i know he can change poa any time but now he is mentally incompentent. I really don't want to get gaurdianship, just want to make sure he cannot change poa as he gets worse.

Your father is not able to grant a POA now; you need to file for guardianship/conservatorship in your state. See a probate attorney for details.
