What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? Michigan
I was president of the board of directors of a non-pofit organization that had 6 other board members on it. We were all employees of the company and were elected by the membership to these positions. I haven't held a board position in 3 years as I had stepped down. I recently found out that the company owes 180K in back taxes to the IRS. My question is: Am I personally responsible for any of that debt, and can the IRS seize any assets? I haven't heard that they could and the IRS has not contacted me, maybe I'm just panicing!
