WV
Hello, I have a question regarding discrimination. My wife and I are currently enrolled In a college here in WV. We are both in a certain program in the college in which you must be accepted into the program. Since being accepted into the program we are finding out that the university is starting to make a difference in the way they treat me and my wife compared to other students. They have made the comment that they will not allow me and my wife to be in certain classes with each other simply because we are married (does not apply to other students). I must say this is making it very hard on me and my wife seeing that we live over a hour away from the college and that means we will have to go to school seperate days (seperate cars, more gas, more money). I feel that this is wrongful treatment and feel that me and her pay our tution the same as everyone else. We are simply students like everyone else. They don't treat roomates and best friends this way so how do they have the right to treat me and my wife this way? I need some advice on this matter because if they don't stop this unffair treatment I am going to seek legal help. Is this discrimination? They do not have a policy stating married couples should be treated different. Any advice would be great!
