when my friend went to buy his food the lunch lady took it away from him, saying he had an attitude problem. Now I think this should have been taken care of with a disciplinary referral. Besides isn't starvation a form of capital punishment? I was just wondering if his rights were violated, and what he could do about it.

anorexia is a disorder where people do everything they can to not eat caused by the fear of being overweight, in this case he was denied food he was trying to purchase to consume. So my answer is no he is not suffering from anorexia.

the fact of the matter is they refused to offer a service that is normally provided and depended upon for lunch. So any helpful responses would be nice.

Is he receiving special education services? Students with specialized needs have some protections regarding lunch.

Is he on free/reduced lunch? I'm not sure if these students have any protections, but I would guess there are some limited protections.

Otherwise, unless there is something written in your school policies which is highly unlikely, no shoes, no shirt, give the lunch lady shi t, no lunch.
