i was recently in an accident. the man that hit me made too wide of a turn and hit a low shoulder. i have since looked at the place where it happened and there is no sign posted saying anything about a low shoulder not too mention there is a a chunk of the road missing. enough that a whole piece of the white line is missing. would i have a case against the county?

Your county cannot not be held liable for the failure of another motorist to avoid a road hazard.

In the good state of Michigan, where there are more holes than road, then if a chuck of the road is missing and it damages your car.. and you can prove that the road has been religious for at least 30 days.. then you can put in a claim against the county..

Does not help our poster, but I though I would share..

I'm in a sharing mood ..

My response:

Now, wait just a gosh darn minute !

Are you telling us that if this road is "religious", then a claim can be filed ?

You must be the "Patron Saint of Unpaved Roads".
