I live in Pennysylvania. My freinds step daughter is 16 and she told her step mom that when she has the baby she is automatically amancipated from her parents. Is this true?

SJ, since this is PA that's not necessarily true. In PA, whether or not a minor can be emancipated AT ALL depends on what county you live in, and in those counties that will emancipate a minor, the requirements vary as well. Not all of them will emancipate a 16 year old and while I could be mistaken about this, I believe all counties require either parental permission or a judicial order as well as financial independence.
