What is the name of your state? What is the name of your state? NY.

I wish to express my opinion and also some statements that I've been told in the form of an email and send it out to a particular person who have done me wrong, and her family. It does not include any file attachments, or photos, but just my honest thoughts and feelings about a matter. There may be some statements that I would like to include also that can be proven true.

Is the act of sending an email to someone and her family, without including any threats considered libel/slander or any other particular offense? I do believe that I am practicing my own freedom of speech, and I don't believe that I am commiting the act of spamming either, but please feel free to correct me if I'm wrong.

No it is not libel/slander. If you do email her, and she responds with a statement telling you to stop emailing her, do not email her again as it could be considered harrasment. But as of far, it seems you are in the clear.

What if his opinion of her is that she's a b**** and a s***? What if he posts his opinion on a website rather than private email? Is an "honest opinion" an absolute defense to libel?
