What is the name of your state? MI
A few months ago I had to take my stepson to ER. Once we were there & going through the admitting process, the hospital admissions told me that in his records it shows that he is responsible for his own bills.
Is this possible? He is only 11.
I switched it to his fathers name (my husband) since we now have custody of him.... but at the time he would've been registered it would have been his biomom that would have set that up. His regular doctor is through that hospital, also.
I'm not really worried about who did it or why, but I am wondering if there could've been any repercussions towards HIS credit. What would happen to unpaid bills if there were any? Or would it just have been a *goof* and any bills really would've been forwarded to a parent?
**I do have written consent from both father AND mother stating I am authorized to make medical decisions, administer first aid, etc. in case they are not present.
Sorry, Belize, that I didn't disclose this information earlier in my other post.
