For example, if I registered copyrights to something, and someday someone wants to buy it, would it be difficult for them to obtain the copyrights?

Nope. Not difficult. You simply assign the buyer all rights unconditionally to the copyrighted work. If you want to transfer only some of the rights to the copyrighted work, instead of an assignment, you would issue the person a license. These assignments or licenses (transfers of rights) can be recorded in the U.S.Copyright Office, for both the protection of the buyer and for the protection of the seller.
