Is it Legal to Wire Tap in Texas?

Hi y'all. My Ex just decided to proclaim that he is a flight risk with our son. My gut instinct says he is just spouting off to try and be hurtful after his perceived loss in court yesterday, however, I want to cover my bases in case he does decide to run with our son. Does anybody know for sure if it is legal to wire tap in Texas as long as one person (obviously me) knows that it is happening? Your help is appreciated!
