Would it be normal in a no fault divorce for the wife to get the house, all its contents, 1/2 of her bills paid (including her own personal credit cards), and alimony? The husband makes about $600 a month more than the wife and the house is worth about $70,000.

My response:

In divorce litigation, there is no such thing as "normal". Settlement Agreements and their Orders are based upon numerous factors that may be unique to the litigants.

While on the surface your scenario looks "lopsided", it's not unusual to see one spouse agreeing to, or being ordered to, take on more losses than the other. Like I said, it really depends upon the specifics of each particular case.
