i live in texas last june my husband went to court to complete our divorce we had worked out an agreement between ourselfs and he went on to court becauce i couldnt pay my lawyer any more. but when he got htere he took everything and i refused to sign the papers. am i divorced??????

My response:

Probably not. However, one very good way to find out is to go to the court, see the Filing Clerk, and ask to see your case file. If there is no "Final Decree of Dissolution" signed by a judge in your file, then you're still married.
