After putting up the website http://csinchomeowners.blogspot.com to document problems that myself and my neighbors have been having with our builder I received a letter from the builder's lawyer saying that the website "is defamatory, falsely portrays C.S. and The New Home team in a negative light, and thus renders you liable to both for significant damages".

I don't believe that anything on that website is a false portrayal of the builder or the builder's realtor.

What is the risk that I would actually be liable for damages if this went to court?

Thanks!

If you are truthful, then you will probably be fine in court.
With that in mind, this kind of case can be very expensive to defend against, and the builder sounds like they're trying to bully you in the hopes that you will back down in order to avoid spending that kind of money.
