What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? California
I just purchased a new home in California. This is a newly renovated move-in ready home. It's been six months since we purchased the home and we have had 3 major issues with the plumbing in the house. One of them being the kitchen drain not being connected to the main sewer line, so the waste has been emptying under my house. The other two issues involved bad installation of the shower connection, which caused leaky water behind my wall for who knows how long. Significant mold were discovered.
My question is, does these issues fall under the 1-year renovation warranty?
2. If the seller refuses to pay for cleaning the damages (mold & sewer mitigation) can I pursue legal action? Do I have a good chance of winning?
Thanks!
