is small claims court the right venue?

Utah - Can my husband take his ex to small claims court to for her 1/2 of the medical bills and inurance premiums that she is supposed to pay, or do we have to go through family court? she is 6 months behind and owes approximately $800.00. will she also be responsible for court costs? he does not ask her for the cs payments that she is supposed to be making, but feels that she should at least pay her share of insurance/medical.

If she is violating an order from Family Court, take her back there. Might as well request the co-pays at that time, as well.
