is ss check child support?

ohio here...my children started receiving social
security checks when their father was put on disability.
he is receiving ssd and workers comp.checks.
he has stoped giving me any monetary support, because he claims now the ss check the kids receive is his child support. the ss check doesn't even cover the monthly payment for one daughters braces.
is this true? or should i still be receiving an amount based on his income?

That's hooey and any court will tell you so. That money does not come from him and is not part of his income as required for child support. Time to haul him back into court and get him garnished if possible.
