Is Teenager Automatically Emancipated When Giving Birth?

I Have A Step Daughter Whose Mother Died 6 Months Ago. Her Father And I Have Received Full Custody Of Her.
We Live In Pennsylvania.
She Is Pregnant She Said That As Soon As She Has The Baby She Will Be Imancipated From Us Automatically. Is This True? We Were Worried That If She Left After She Had The Baby Will We Be Held Responsable If She Gets In Trouble And Gets Fines Or Something Happens?
Wondering If She Will Be Automatically Emancipated After Birth Of Child She Is Only 16. Thanks

A child having a child does NOT emancipate her. The age of majority in PA is 18 and out of high school.

There are 2 issues here the age of ocnsent in PA is 16 was SD 16 when she got pregnant and how old is the father?

PA does not have statutes per se, automaitc reasons for emancipation do mot include giving birth, although, she has parental rights insofar as her child, not the same as emamcipation.

SHE WAS 15 WHEN SHE GOT PREGNANT. THE BABY'S DAD IS 18 BUT IS NOT IN HER LIFE RIGHT NOW.

THANKS FOR THE INFORMATION. MY STEP DAUGHTER SAID SHE WOULD BE AUTOMATICALLY EMANCIAPATED. NO WE DIDN'T WANT HER TO BE IS NOT MATURE ENOUGH FOR THAT WE WERE WORRIED SHE KEPT SAYING SHE WOULD BE AND WE COULDN'T DO NOTHING ABOUT IT.

then the babys dad is in trouble if your husband chooses to press charges against him.legally, she could not consent to sex. your husband is repsonsible for anything she does untill she is 18, after that, shes on her own. having a baby does not make her emancipated. if she gets into any kind of trouble, dad could be held repsonsbile, as her sole legal guardian.
