My boyfriend and I moved in a house in North Carolina with the owner of the house and another room mate. The roomate's dog broke an indoor grilling machine of ours as well as jerked many dinners off the counter and tore up many trash cans, ect. of ours . We asked the dogs owner, who also ate up our food, to pay us for the grill; He has refused. Is the owner of the home, who allowed the roommates dog run free through the house while throwing our dogs out side, responsable for the damages? Is the dog's owner responsable?

We chose to live with a freind who's wife had just walked out on him at christmas leaving him to pay all the bills on the house he grew up in.
