What is the name of your state? What is the name of your state?Florida

Okay I learned about the whole Nigerian scam thing. (By the way thank you) Now I am being pestered by more scammers with the same basic and lame garbage. I am wondering why and how I got to be such a target is it because of the site I used to post my ad? My even bigger Question IS THERE ANY HOPES OF STOPPING THEM? IT'S GETTING ANNOYING.

I would send Bill Gates a strongly-worded e-mail asking him to make Windows reject spam.

That will probably do it.

According to your post it was spam: Now I am being pestered by more scammers with the same basic and lame garbage. I am wondering why and how I got to be such a target is it because of the site I used to post my ad? My even bigger Question IS THERE ANY HOPES OF STOPPING THEM? IT'S GETTING ANNOYING.

Were you not paying attention to what you wrote?

spam

unsolicited junk email generally advertising for some product sent wide scale to a mailing list or newsgroup.

My emails are specifically to me about my ad ;) that is the problem . Now any guesses to why I seem to be an easy target to these people?

One thing you can probably do is not post your email address online. If you
have a domain name, using your registrar's WHOIS privacy service can help,
too.

Thanks I feel a little dumb  It didn't dawn on me that one of the sites I used never said my email address would'nt show. I just deleted my ad and maybe that will help in the future  But thanks again for giving me that much needed slap in the back of the head. I appreciate it. :D

I hope that slap did not hurt.

I also hope now that you know that spam means "unwanted e-mail"

OR

a tasty treat when, if prepared correctly, tastes just like fried bologna.

Unfortunately, once you post your email address online, it gets downloaded into spamming databases so removing it won't always help. Most people don't realize that you should NEVER post your email address online. Spammers have automated programs that go out and search the web for email addresses and download them!

That stinks! I'm glad you told me. I guess the only thing left to do is change my address and not make the same stupid mistake again huh?
