What is the name of your state? colorado. Three years ago my friend (T) and I got into an argument. Nothing major or at least I thought so. Anyway since then she has been saying things about me that are not true, to most of the friends we hung out with. She is engaged to my boyfriends (J) best-friend (K), and has since turned K against J, T is making statements that I am refusing to allow J to call or see K, which isn't true, T is also saying that I am freeloading from J because I haven't worked in 3 years, which I am not. And there is more but I'm not going into it. So far there have been 3 couples that we are friends with that have believed her and have turned against me and churning out the same lies. One of the couples have recently realized that she is not a truthfull person and realized that everything she has said are lies. T and K still call these people and spew the same stuff. The latest incident involved a close friend of mine at a BBQ. K came up to her and started talking about me and J. K was using foul language and saying the same lies. My friend just walked away and didn't say anything but told me the next day so I could be aware. Is there anything I can do, someone said sue them for defamation, but I don't believe I have a case.

Thank You
M

I changed my original answer when I saw this last comment. So instead, all I will recommend is that you get new friends, because there's nothing legally you can do.
