I had a computer with a burnt out power supply. I called my computer repair shop to ask them about the cost of a new one. They said bring it in. I could not afford it. I
need to know the price. They sent the technician over in the company vehicle without my concent or authorization & picked my computer up. Later that day I got a call
to pick it up. But to my surprise It wasnt my computer!!!! They informed me it was a better computer than mine & to take it home & try it out. I did & was not at all satisfied. the next day I
called to let them know of my disapproval & that i wanted my computer. & i was informed they distributed it out for parts & It was gone. Is this a Civil case or a criminal matter? my computer is worth more than 1000.00 dollars.

My response:

It's a Civil matter. The cause of action is: Conversion of Private Property.

I would file in Small Claims Court.

P.S. Just out of curiosity, what did you have, and what did they give you? Did you have personal data on the original computer?
