In Virginia, I am 17, My mom has not enrolled me in any schooling at all, homeschooling, public school or private school. My mom pulled me out of school in the summer and I got my biological father to enroll me in school before the school year started but my mom has sole custody and she is trying to pull me out of school in the first quarter. Is she legally allowed to not put me in school?

Why is your mother so adamant about not wanting you in school?

Virginia has compulsory education laws, requiring children from ages 5 to 18 to attend school. If parents fail to comply with the law by not seeing that their child attends, they can be charged with a Class 3 misdemeanor.

There are a few exceptions but I am not seeing an exception in what you have described.
