Hi, I have a question and I hope someone will respond. My boyfriend and 10 of his closest friends received an email from some woman stating she knows for a fact that I have A.I.D.s and am spreading it around to my boyfriend and our child. This is totally untrue and false. Do you think this is grounds for some sort of lawsuit? Please help me out.

based on the facts you posted, yes you do have a cause of action against her.

TX. This woman also gives the specific name of the person that she claims I am cheating on my boyfriend with, stating that she knows that guy is HIV positive and that I most likely have spread it to my boyfriend and son. The email adress seems to have been created specifically for this purpose. How should I go about finding out who sent this email around. Can I even find that out through Yahoo, or do they not give this sort of information. I am interested in pursuing this further.

maybe file a report first. Yahoo and ebay can and does have necessary information, but they won't give it to you. They will only work with the proper legal authorities.
