Let's just say I was to make a web site on one of those free web sites servers. ( oh I live in Oregon if that maters) and the site was devoted to my own personal opinion about how women are able to give men the shaft in different situation. Paternaty, Child support, alamonym , Online, the way they treat men badly ect. But nothing is directed at a single person, group, organization, company ect. Just women. Is that protected by my freedom of speech, or is it somewhat protected unless they get a good lawer to find a loop hole and try to prosecute me for what I have written? Am I totally secure in my right to do this or not. Or is that a civil rights violation? Or something of that matter? Do I need to have a disclaimer at the entrance to my site?

My response:

Your right to First Amendment free speech is only limited by inciting others to break the law; e.g., to kill someone, to riot, or to overthrow a lawful government. You should see the site operated by the Ku Klux Klan if you want to see Freedom of Speech in action. While we may not like what you have to say, we will defend your right to say it . . . because to do otherwise, erodes our rights and infringes upon our abilities to write opposing views to yours.

General Colin Powell, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff during the Persian Gulf War, said: "The First Amendment exists to insure that freedom of speech and expression applies not just to that with which we agree or disagree, but also that which we find outrageous. I would not amend that great shield of democracy to hammer a few miscreants."
