What is the name of your state?ohio
i worked for this trucking company in 2002 they fired me one time for damage to a truck but i took them to the civil rights board and it was proven untrue, since i had been writing the truck up everyday about needed repairs.so they rehired me. i worked for a total of one month. they had me working late one day so i couldn't come in that morning so they asked me if i could work that night i said yes i worked for about an 3hrs when the tranny and the engine blew up. i called every one like i was supposed to but got no answer i finally had to call the president of the company and he got them to bring me another truck. the next day i was fired because they said i caused the damage. well to to speed things up i have not been able to get a decent trucking job since this because their safety director told all potential employers that i intentionally tore up a truck and caused 25,000 dollars in damage and was sued by the company and they won. none of this is true they never sued me i never caused 25,000 dollars damages. in fact a year later the vice president of the company told me that the mechanic was rigging the trucks so he could use the money for his own personal gain. she gave me an apology and wrote me a letter of recommendation. which i have been summiting to companies but i found out 2weeks ago that that the reasons that i have listed above were keeping me from a job. no company is going to hire me if they think that i intentionally destroyed their property. i now have to work at a temporary service because no other company would hire and i have to go without benefits, and long term employment even jobs with through the service won't hire me because after i work for them and they do me past history check they tell me they can't hire me .recently a potential employer sent me a letter stating the things that the previous employer said about me. so to end this long story i want to know if this is a good case for slander.
thank you
