Basically a friend of one of my parents pleaded guilty to embezellment and fraud. Basically this person took money from an employer. After the criminal case was settled they are now pursuing a civil case in which they are suing several organizations and companies and also one of my parents. If my parent it found not to be asscoiated with any of the crimes is there anything we can do about it. I am sure that if their name is associated that this could greatly damage my parent invloved. Is there anything that can be done?????

Yes. If they win the suit they could take you to McDonald's to celebrate.

If you're asking can they sue the suing party the answer is generally no. The company has a right to pursue legal action against parties they perceive as being involved, whether or not they actually were.
