What is the name of your state? Tennessee
I was contracted by a company in my home state to work as a technician in the area as well as to be onsite at a business as a backfill tech so when the normal techs at site went for training or on vacation I would fill in for them I also took the oncall time for this same location for a period of 8 months. I injured myself on the job but continued to work even though I was on strong pain medication, I also continued to take the oncall periods for this customer. The customer whom I will call "A" must have complained because I was taken off the account. About a week after that I was talking with my new boss and she informed me that she had a conversation with the head of the department at customer A'S site and that this person had said ' so and so is a lousy technician and didnt know anything and she could not see why my employer would hire me. My employer assured me this was just talk and that she knew that I realy did great work. any way I was reasigned to another account and was according to my boss doing a great job asking the right questions ,etcetera. About 4 week go by at my new position when my boss comes to me and says she realy needed to reassign me to a different project and that she had kno one else to do it.I SAID o.k any thing to help out. The following Monday rolls around I find out I have been reasigned yet again to a new boss and I need to move out of my cube and into a tech room and that I was reassigned back into field operations. Well I was more than a little curious about all this so i went and talked to my old Boss Who informed me that one the people I was working with on the new projects had talked to a different person I had worked under at company A and was was questioning weather I had a particular certification or was qualified to perform the job. When I pressed Old Boss about what was actually said, he informed me of an email that was sent by the new project person I had just started working with that mentioned the person at company "A"s name and apparenly some rather nasty comments. I asked to see the email and was sent some doctored up sanitized version of the original. Waht are my leagal rights and does this sound like slander. By the way I have also been laid off . Do the actions of company "a" seem like slander? What can I do about it.What is the name of your state?
