What is the name of your state? What is the name of your state? TX
I bought two term life insurance policies for myself. One with my wife as beneficiary and another with my brother as beneficiary. Since TX is a community property state, I have got a community property waiver from my wife for the second policy. The waiver states the following :
-She waives all her community property rights in the policy.
-She waives all her community property rights to the premium paid and that will be paid in future for this policy.
-She has no objection in having anyone else as the beneficiary.
It is signed by her and myself in the presence of a notary.
My question is :
Is the above waiver adequate.
Is it required to have a witness's signature in addition to the notary.
Thanks.
