I recently made a sale that was for Individual Slot Machine Tokens. The heading clearly stated "Individual" although at some point in time, the description read "...refill tokens of 100". On my site, I have disclaimers on price and description errors on the site (as most of it is automated). Well this customer assumed that he was going to get 700 tokens at the individual price. His order has already been delivered and now he is disputing the purchase. I have informed him and provided him with the link about price and content descrepancies along with two options to remedy the situation: 1) Provide him with the remaining 693 tokens at cost; or 2) return the merchandise for a full refund. I even offered to allow him to keep the tokens he has at cost and refund the amount of $12.41 to eliminate any hassles in returning the merchandise. As of late, I have not heard back from him.

Question: Should I have even offered him a full refund? or offered him the merchandise at cost? ...even though there is the Price disclaimers and such?

I would have thought it was 700 tokens as well. The "refill tokens of 100" does make it sound like it's 100 tokens for each purchase.

Refund the $12.71. It's not a lot of money. Refund it and clarify in your description that each purchase is for ONE token, not 100. Take out the line about "refill of 100 tokens." There's no need for that to be there.

Just issue the refund, don't bother waiting to hear back. Do the right thing because this was your mistake.

Thanks for the advice.

He has contacted me back and I offered to refund him the total cost once the product has been received. As of late, we have not received the tokens back.

The description has been corrected.
