FOLLOWING A CORPORATION MERGER AND DOWNSIZING EMPLOYEES WERE
ALLOWED TO KEEP THEIR SENIORITY AND PAY GRADE. MY MID LEVEL POSITION OF THIRTEEN YEARS WAS DONE AWAY WITH. MY DIVISION HAS A CORE SITE WITH THREE OFF SITES. THE SITE THAT I WORK AT IS THE SMALLEST OF THE THREE SITES. IT IS LOCATED IN THE LOWEST OF THE SOCIAL-ECONOMICAL ENVIRONMENTAL COMMUNINITIES. I AM PROUD OF THE ACCOMPLISHMENTS AND SERVICES THAT WE HAVE PROVIDED.

I AM A VIETNAM VET.WITH AN HONORABLE DISCHARGE AS A SPECIALIST 5 TRAINED IN THE PROFESSION THAT I SINCE RECEIVED
A B.S.DEGREE, AS WELL AS, NATIONAL CERTIFICATION DURING MY OVER THIRTY YEARS EXPERIENCE (OVER 15 IN MANAGEMENT). I HAVE
TAUGHT SECONDARY EDUCATION DURING THIS TIME FRAME.

I AM IN THE MINORITY MY PROFESSION IN REGARDS TO MY RACE AND
MY SEX. I HAVE APPLIED AND BEEN INTERVIEWED FOR NUMEROUS POSITIONS IN MY DEPARTMENT AT THE OTHER SITES, THE LAST BEING A POSITION THAT I HAD HELD FOR THIRTEEN YEARS BEFORE THE MERGER. THE REASON BEING THAT I DID NOT HAVE THE EXPERIENCE AT A SITE OF THE SIZE OF CORE SITE. START AT ANOTHER POSITION AND IN TWO OR THREE YEARS, I MAY BE BETTER SUITED FOR MANAGEMENT POSITION.

WORKING CONDITIONS AND BENEFITS ARE BETTER AT ANY OF THE OTHER SITES, BUT NO MOVEMENT HAS BEEN DONE FROM MY SITE, FOR ANY REASON. SINCE THE MERGER, MY SITE HAS HAD TO WORK EVERY OTHER WEEKEND AND EVERY OTHER HOLIDAY. THE OTHER SITES WORK EVERY THIRD WEEKEND AND EVERYOTHER HOLIDAY. AT MY SITE A LUNCH BREAK (WHICH IS NOT PAID FOR BY THE COMPANY)IS NOT EVEN A GIVEN SITUATION. GRANTED, THEY WILL PAY FOR THE LUNCH
PERIOD IF THEY DEEM THAT THE WORK LOAD REFLEX THE SITUATION.

MY BEING OVER FIFTY YEARS OF AGE, I MUST BE CAREFUL ABOUT TAKING ON A NON-PROFIT LARGE ORGANIZATION FINANCIALLY AND CAREER WISE. I HAVE BROUGHT THESE ISSUES TO THE ATTENTION OF MANAGEMENT:DENYING THE OPPORTUNITY TO ACHIEVE CAREER SUCESS
-SYSTEMATICALLY DISCRIMINATE IN PROMOTIONS AND/OR ADVANCEMENT OPPORTUNITIES
-PASSED OVER FOR PROMOTIONS AND KEPT IN LOW VISIBILITY JOBS
DEALING WITH THE SLIGHTS, SOME OVERT, THAT ROBS THE SPIRIT AND WILL TO COMPETE.
