i have worked for a company in texas as an hradmin for 3 1/2 years and have recently had all my duties taken away. when i spoke to the new supervisor 2 months ago, i was asked what i would like to do and i explained i would like to work more in hr. i was told that positive changes would be taking place so not to worry. a week and a half ago all my job duties were taken away without notice. when i asked what the reason was, i was told that my work was not accurate or not being done in the needed time frame. this was the first i had heard of this. there were never verbal or written corrections made concerning this issue, so all this was news to me. when i spoke to a previous supervisor about an hr generalist position that i was not offered the response was "we didn't know you were interested", but the job was never posted for me to apply. when i spoke to the current supervisor i was told that it was actually because they didn't think i was capable of doing the job because of personal issues that had come up at the time. in a recent meeting where i learned i lost all my duties, we were also made aware that no personal items, including food or drink were allowed at our desks for professional appearances. as the rules have been enforced with me, i am also aware that it is not enforced with the rest of the department. i feel i have been overlooked for several positions that have come up in hr and now treated wrongly by having duties taken away without corrections notices used. is this a discriminatory case?
