What is the name of your state? Maryland
I have sole custody of my kids. After my ex's second criminal conviction, I sued for and got sole custody. She is now out and is pushing for joint legal custody. In order for her to get joint legal custody, won't she have to show how it is in 'the best custody of the children'? It's up to her to prove her case right? Just because she is out of jail now, the court won't grant her this right? I've been told the court doesn't change a custody situation that is working well for the kids. I've heard so many opinions... What do you think?
