I don't recall using ANY of those words in my post, much less misspelling them.

I think Butter is trying to spit out that he/she thinks you are thise things. Hell, if I wanted to call you a bully, I would simply do so. I don't think I would have to copy and paste the meaning of it.;)

Well, after looking at buttercups history, her accusations against ME are somewhat hypocritical considering that SHE posted this:

Seriously
Suggestion. Click the HOME tab at the top of this web page. Scroll down the page to Privacy Policy and click that link. Think about it. Free Legal Advice. I cannot believe that a professional even bothers to acknowledge some of the poorly "thought out", "spelled out", un-punctuated, run on sentences that some arrogant idiot posts and presents as problem.

Our state bar suggested I check out this website to learn more and ask some questions for "free legal advice". I did. There is a lot of valuable information here. Some great questions and a wealth of information in the responses. A few responses with some sarcasm-(seriously, how could they resist!).

I am embarrassed at the responses from the person who posts instead of saying "thanks".

Def: "Jurisprudence- civilization presupposes respect for the law".

It is pretty funny that a post, who doesn't have a sense of humor actually gets into a writing constest with a person(s) who professionally argues.

She sounds like she's taking a first semester Business Law class where they teach you the importance of using the correct terminology for the situation. That's the only thing I can think of since she's spending so much time copying from an online dictionary without managing to add any insight into the posting.

The spelling lesson isn't really useful information for the OP, but I just couldn't take it anymore! She misspelled it SIX times in a row and the proper spelling was staring her right in the face. It also bothers me when some one uses "statue of limitations" instead of "STAUTE of limitations". It makes it sound like the statue of liberty's sister monument. I think I might have a little touch of OCD over it. ;)

I am sorry but I have to point this one out to you ceara19, but shouldn't there be a "T" in that first highlighted word? "Statute of Limitations"

Exactly, acmb - and that points out the problem with spellcheckers and relying on them to exclusion of actually proofing what you write/type. If the word's not in the checker's dictionary, it's not going to be corrected.

I agree 100% that if you're going to chastise someone's spelling - make DAMNED sure that you don't have typos in your own post.

(and tig, hon? There is no "u" in chalkboard. :p )

There you go, all better now. Thank you for pointing it out.

However, there is a HUGE difference between a TYPO and blatantly misspelling the SAME word 6 times, especially when the word being misspelled is right there staring you in the face correctly spelled.

Ahem... there is also a difference with a word that is totally misused in the context of the sentence. Does this look familiar?

Therefore, following g-n-c's logic, IF I were the legal council for a vet faced with this particular situation,
See what's wrong with it?

But I continue to maintain that before you bitch about someone's spelling - make sure yours is impecable. Typos and all.

:p

I agree. Most of your most-beloved members here have incorrect grammar and spelling. In fact, I've yet to see one with perfect grammar. And they are, invariably, the first ones to use the "You're an uneducated idiot" retort. Hypocrisy at work, you may say. Blame-shifting, I say.

Yep. I know I tend to slip on grammar when online, so I don't generally comment on that. But spelling does irk me.

The only reason I pointed it out was because you made a big deal about it and said you went back and read it again and still did not notice it.

Spelling on the internet to me is no huge deal to get worked up about. Most people who come on here looking for answers are not exactly up to par with themselves and are usually frustrated so they are not paying all that much attention to the spelling.

Some are just uneducated or just a poor speller, does it matter if a word is spelled wrong? It should not but to some it is bothersome.

I just think we should focus more on the persons problem than the spelling, unless it is a word that could h ave a different meaning all together if spelled a certain way and spelling would be crucial in the way it is answered.

Jesus Christ, can someone maybe get to the point regarding OP's problem? Feel free to start a thread on another site that is all dedicated to spelling!
