Joint Tenancy Property Dispute

Last Nov. my (now, EX-) fiancee and I bought a house as Joint Tenants in MN. We bought it As-Is and paid cash.

In April of this year, I filed for an Order for Protection
against him and the court ordered him to stay away from my residence (the home we bought together) and my place of employment.

As retaliation, he has caused me MUCH, undue financial hardship.
He has refused to cover any of the utility bills for the period of time that he also resided in the home (Nov. - April) -- sticking me with $1800 in heating expenses alone. He has also neglected to contribute his half of the property taxes for this year. He is also refusing to pay half of the expenses incurred for unexpected, emergency repairs that had to be made recently to the furnace, and (two days later), the electrical wiring (the fuse box melted and I had to replace it with a circuit breaker box).

He called me at work the other night and informed me that his attorney has filed papers to force the sale of the house. He is being VERY hateful and hurtful (the VERY reasons for the OFP to begin with).

He said he will not consider letting me buy him out -- "if he can't live here, neither can I".

I have NO desire to sell! Acting in good faith (and believing that he also was), I uprooted my (now 9 yr old) son and gave up a VERY comfortable lifestyle in NE to become (a mortgage-free) homeowner.

Can I counter sue him for Breach of (Implied) Contract, Emotional/Financial Distress? Can I put a lien on the deed or his half of the deed in lieu of being recompensated for his half of the taxes and repairs?
