What is the name of your state? Florida
I bought my house with my Dad as the co-signor, and as joint tenants with right of survivorship. He recently passed away and I want to know how to change the name on the deed and tax rolls. Thanks for any help, as the records department for the county won't answer any question, because they consider it giving legal advice.

Crikes, it's not legal advice. Boneheads.

Grab some official copies of the death certificate and head down to the land records office and the taxing office. That should suffice. The procedure varies slightly from place to place (a local RE or estate lawyer can probably give you specific advice for a small amount of money). Is there any other estate being probated? Generally you may just be able to get whoever is handling that to assist you.
