Judge Unfair

I am a mother in the state New York and I have been fighting for my two children for about 3 years now. The father has never wanted anything to do with them while I was with him. While I was with the father all he did was keep quiting his jobs, he never did anything but stay on the computer and play games. Most of the time we were without heat, electric, food, and a viechle. So I left him to make a better life for my children. Since I have left him he made up lies and took my children away. He is suppose to have the children live with him but he is having his parents raise my children. I have the proof that the children are being raised by his parent's and I have proof that the father is lieing but for some reason the judge does not want to see or hear about the proof. Everytime the father has come up with a lie, I have the proof but the judge just disregard's my proof. I really don't know what to do anymore. I have gone through two lawyers and still I am getting no where. I really need some help! I have never been apart from my children and it's killing me everyday. I'm dieing inside and I don't know what to do.

Are you sure you aren't leaving anything out? I would be surprised to see a judge take your children from you for no apparent reason. Seems kind of strange.

When the judge gave the father custody, the judge knew I could not come into court to defend myself due to I was in the hospital having my daughter. I have heard from other women that the same judge has taken thier children unfairly also. I really don't know what this judge is thinking but even the two lawyer's I have had said that this judge is unfair and unjust, but I can't do anything about it.

I think it is totally unfair the way judges grant custody because they really half the time don't know the real truth, they don't know our children or their personalities and how being in situations is affecting them, I feel they look
down on th NCP, because in some situations a child may be taken and given custody to one parent for good reason but in some cases its not justified because one parent may be in a temporary situation or was in an abusive relationship and just isn't thinking straight with what's happening so fast. And maybe at the time a parent was trying to do the Right thing at that time but then their situation changed and it really would be better for the child to have a change of custody, and then the judges are just so busy they just lump all CP and NCP into a lump of the same kind, and they just go by "the Rules or The Laws" and it's not always in the best interest of the child because the attorneys and the judges are not going home with our kids and really seeing what's happening and not caring because that's our problem not theirs. And in the end it's all really all about the benjamins! Money talks and
bull---t walks. So i guess we just have to be prepared to buy our kids back.
And I feel that it sucks but thats the way it is...So we just have to fight, and pray till our knuckles are raw like everything else.....Thanks for letting me sound off people! Keep your head up......

Were you "IN" the hospital giving birth on the date of the hearing?
Were you in labor during the hearing?
Did you or your two attorneys file for a continuance for medical reasons?
