What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? N.J. I had a fender bender in 1996.It just so happened that my insurance was expired.I never recieved a ticket for this by the police officer at this time or after. The total of this bender was approx.$5000.Because of this I have a judgement against my license and can't renew it untill this is taken cared of.I do not have a job and can't get one because,I don't have a valid license. So,I can't pay this or make payments. If I claim bankruptcy can I dispose of this matter.:

NO ... pay it - and there is no reason or excuse to not have had the proper insurance then or now.
