What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? Ohio. Received a judgement for a co-signed loan 10 days ago. I understand I need to send a "15 day demand letter" to the defendant asking for the amount of the judgement [including court costs and interest]. They have 15 days to respond after which time I can file with Municipal Court demanding garnishment of percentage of wages from their employer. Do I include the cost of the garnishment filing fee as well? That seems premature but it's quite obvious that after 5 years of not owning up to the debt they have no intention of doing so willingly. So the garnishment filing seems inevitable. Is there anything I'm leaving out? Thanks in advance.

I would not expect you can include the garnishment filing fee in the 15 day demand letter because at that point you have not filed that. If they pay up within the time frame, that avoids the garnishment. If that fails, I'd expect the law probably allows you to add collection costs and statutory interest.
