What is the name of your state? California

Ok, I had unpaid hospital bills(4), went to court and the judge set a trial date. Appeared at trial with no legal representation. The judge ruled against me for little over $2000, including interest and attorney fees.

Now, do I wait for the attorneys office to contact me for payment or should I call them? How low can I go with a reduction in amount owed? I am a full time student and have no income except for financial aid/loans. I don't want to offer a payment arrangement I can't keep. Does anyone know the SOL for California? One of the hospital bills is from 1997.

I have not paid on credit card bills in a while. I keep getting calls and letters from collectors. If I want to respond to the letters and begin possible payment, what should I include in the letters and what should I not?

The SOL in Ca. for all types of accounts is 4 years. You should have raised the SOL issue in your response to the lawsuit.
