judgement put on someones life insurance

have a judgement aganist exhusband for back child support that i got before our daughter reached eighteen
he has passed away
can i collect if he has life insurance?
and how do i find out if he had insurance

IF he had life insurance and had not named a beneficiary, the life insurance policy proceeds would be payable to his estate. You are a credtor of that estate. Check the filings in probate court to see if he had a Will and file a claim with his estate in a timely (FAST) manner; and you should do that anyway as a creditor.
