I have a judgement against someone obtained in a Florida Court. The defendant lives in Texas and is in the military. Can I have his wages garnished to collect this judgement while he is in the military? If not, what is the best way of collecting this judgement?

First, his military wages can be garnished, no matter where he is located.

Second, if you intend on trying to sieze or levy any assets (other than wages), the FL judgment would need to be domesticated to the state where the debtors assets are located (Texas). Then the allowed procedures for Texas can be used to enforce the judgment.

Email me direct with information on your judgment and I will try to help.
