I have been given a motion for judgement
for breaking a lease. The lease expired
on 08/31/93, but I resided at residence
until 03/06/94. The management required
a 60 day notice to vacate which I gave,
but was forced to move because of
gunshots fired directly outside my
window. The management was informed
that I was in fear for my familie's
safety but did not care. They wanted me
to stay or pay the remiander of the
rent. Now they are sueing me six years
later. Do I have a good case or should
I pay them?

It sounds as if the statute of limitations may have run. That's the first thing I would check.
