I recently went to court for a lawsuit. Delmarva Collections is suing me for $960. I had a judgement placed against me. The judge told me to find a lawyer and talk to them about what to do next. I'm between a rock and a hard place; I don't where to go from here. I really don't want them to garnish my wages. I've tried paying before, but they told me they cannot accept no less than $200 a month? I don't know if anyone could give me any advice on what to do next, I'd greatly appreciate it.

A judge entered a money judgment against you and then "told you to find a lawyer and talk to them about what to do next" ?

I have some difficulty believing that.

Anyway, unless you are employed in either Californian, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, South Carolina or Texas there ain't no "next" in avoiding wage garnishment. Not for a debt of this most likely consumer nature. Not unless you qualify and opt to seek debtor's relief under the Federal Bankruptcy Code.

Take an extra job. Make the $200 / month they are asking for. In 5, 6 month it will be paid.
