What is the name of your state? What is the name of your state?NJ

"I have a friend" who had a judgment filed against them in 1999 in NJ. They are now trying to buy a house in another state. What is the SOL for attempting to collect on the judgment from 1999?

Thank you in advance.

If there is a valid judgment, already on the books, it is still on your report and will be for the forseeable future. Its likely to stay on your credit for 20 years (10 initial + renewal of another 10).
