I'm the wife of the plaintiff. I will not be a witness. Its a mechanics lien and the defendant asked for and got a jury trial which is scheduled for 4 days. I am sitting the first half of the day inside the courtroom everything going well for my husband break and lunch comes around nothing is said to me . In the afternoon, Opposing attorney begins to grill my husband and when the afternoon break arrives I was sitting right where the jury is being led out and they get stopped by the bailiff. This one juror states loud right in front of me "I've never been in a court room this long. I hate to hear guilty". The rest of this first day, I sit outside the courtroom and at the end of the day this one male juror when he leaves the courtroom shakes his head "no" at me. The next day, I continue to sit outside the courtroom and I moved to the other side of the hall with my back to the door and he comes out and makes a loud noise and laughs which got my attention and this juror does the same thing shakes his head no. The third day I decide to wait until the jury is in the courtroom and seated before I move to the hallway so, I am in the hallway unaware I just know someone is late as I move from the stairwell to the chair in the hallway this juror arrives and as he begins to go in he turns and stares at me and shakes his head no. So the rest of the third day I really make sure I'm not around when the jury arrives or leaves, I wait in the car for my husband and his attorney. My husband can step outside the courtroom and look out the window and see me in the car. My husband knows I'm there. The jurors can not go to this window so I'm safe.
I haven't said a word to anyone and I don't react to this juror for I know there are cameras everywhere and besides everyone wears masks so I really don't know what he is attempting to tell me if anything. I don't want to be accused of something so is this something I should report or is it okay since I'm just an observer so to speak. However, I have removed myself totally from seeing him coming and going so its not an issue now, but you can say I'm really curious.
