My question has already been answered and thank you but I do want to vent. I'm probably going to receive a lot of angry replies back but I know some other people feel the way that I do.

It is really sad that the courts have allowed women more rights than men when it comes to child support issues (visitation, CS pymts, etc.). I really do think the court should consider all sides when a woman comes in for child support. I do not take away the fact that alot of women are doing what they are supposed to and have a deadbeat dad who do not acknowledge or pay for his children but you also have men who do everything they can to support their children and when the mother decides to get angry with him for whatever reason he has to pay the price for it. To me, that's just way too much power. I believe that every situation is different when it comes to supporting a child and it should be treated as such. I am not bashing anyone but I am rather stating a fact. For those men who are not supporting their children because they feel like they don't have to shame on you and this is not for your benefit. However, this IS for women who get pregnant on purpose by men to try to keep them in a relationship. Please know that you are very selfish and you don't deserve anything from anyone. And unfortunately you have brought an child into this world who will most likely grow up without a father and the father.

Unfortunatly sir, fathers who are doing the right thing are more frequent than what the public is lead to believe. They only way the State's can continue to interfer with domestic relations is to continue to class the majority of NCP's ad deadbeats. It really is time to stand up and hold the State's responsible for their actions. To sacrafice the masses for a few will not be tolorated in this society anymore!

Time to take charge Joe Q. Public. Demand accountability from your State.

There are State and federal Guideline for child support obligations.

Well the term Deadbeat is unfairly described as Deadbeat DADS , there are also Deadbeat moms . The law applies the same.

Well many women may deceive a man ( or male ) into having sex for their own purposes and reasons, there are just as many men ( or Males ) that have sex for their own reasons.

So their is a one size fits all sort of laws that apply.

The bottom line , is it takes 2 to have sex . Why should tax payers foot the bill for their actions ?

Both parties need to take responsibility for being protected if they intend to have sex.

I can totally sympathize with you and do agree that DADS get a bad rap. As a person who has been on BOTH sides of the coin, ( as a single mom receiving no support from the deadbeat dad, and as a second wife who's husband pays support for basically nothing--the child's not even at home--but when he files in court "Mom" brings him home just long enough for the court hearing and then kicks him out) I do know this much:

Here in my state anyway, the statutes are written only to benefit the mother. There had been some initial improvements pending in our legislature a couple of years ago but they were not voted on due to budget cuts.. they mostly involved making mom's accountable for how they spent the support money. A good idea if you ask me..and one I wouldn't have minded compying with (if I had ever received money that is!)

All we can do is continue to fight for change and fairness for all, regardless of gender. My state is Minnesota

Awww you know what. Until men can have children without women, then they will always be unfair laws "protecting women and children" who ever said life is fair?
It is about as fair as men still making over 25% more than women at the same job. Not fair, not all things balance.
The only advantage women have is ovaries. Gods little practical joke on men.....lol Kids stay with mom and that is where most belong. They are not property.

I really do think the court should consider all sides when a woman comes in for child support. I believe that every situation is different when it comes to supporting a child and it should be treated as such.

The crazy thing is that the laws (in all states) are set up so that each case is SUPPOSED to be decided on it's individual merits, with each party being fully noticed and aware of issues, petitions, motions, and then each party should be allowed to testify and present evidence .
Unfortunately, far too often these laws and the individuality of each case is totally ignored, which hurts NCP's and the kids most often.
Until the courts start following the laws themselves, nothing will ever get better.
It's too bad that the judges can't be jailed for not following laws (and in some cases, court orders), after all, they do not hesitate to jail a NCP for not following court orders/laws to a tee.

This is to prettyredhead. You are missing the point. I am VERY aware that men make more money than women. I am a woman myself. You are a very bitter person obviously and maybe you are one of the mothers that have tried to trap a person into a relationship and it did not work out the way you wanted it to. If this is the case I understand your bitterness. Maybe you should read what a wrote once again. And for the statement that the children should be with the mother is not always the best decision for the children. I hope you are not teaching your children to be as bitter as you and that there are good people in the world.

i feel that i need to respond to this for the simple fact, that women do sneak around and do things such as put on a front for the courts. but i also realize that they is a lot of men out there that support women in such matters and anytime you turn to play another mans game you are gonna lose. the sad thing is you will not get a crook to play your game, so that you will win. so we the losers today will be the winners in the end in gods time when we have a real judge. besides we suffer now so now is a good time to accept jesus and quit turning to the law as the bible says we cannot prove to the people of such power as judges lawyers and the rich because why in the world would these kind of people want to answer to a fair man ?these people make any man pay to keep the power in their favor ,like the roman catholic did in the beginning of time . i also believe that these kind of people use teachings of the bible to decieve the rest of us .what i mean by that is the bible teaches us what we need to know so that were not deceived by satan and these people use it to well you see what im saying so get with god so you dont get caught up in this again .they is nothing we can do about the past except learn from it.

Aside from uglyredhead's comments, the one thing that most all posters have missed is the child. When babies have babies, when women sleep around, when men have unprotected sex and then do not take responsibility and when the child is thrown out with the trash, who WILL step in to say "ENOUGH"?

Will you? Should I? Or should all of us, in the guise of society? If you don't like the way things are change them. But remember why the imperfect system is in place. It's not there for the ovaries, the dangling balls or even for society. It's there for the child. plain and simple.

And the ONLY way to insure that all children grow up on a level playing field,free from the games and control of bitter parents, is to take them away from those parents at birth, place them in sanitized institutions where everyone and everything is equal, then produce an army of 'like-minded' clones.

Life isn't fair. And you can't change the world. But the next time you're in court with one of those 'lying, cheating exs" remember one thing. You CAN change your little piece of it.

You can always put in a complaint against the judge.

You can always vote out incumbent judges.

Always look into the chain of command. The first elected official in the chain of command is who I go for the JUGULAR on. I am just starting this in WA. state.

One time I contracted with a moving company that tried to screw me over on the contract on a multi-day rental. So I made up a sign saying "(company name) is corrupt". I took a digital photo of the truck with the big banner on the side. I emailed the photo to them. I told them I would drive the truck up and down I-5 if they didn't treat me right. They treated me right.

Find out who your beef is with. Put the Politicians name somewhere in public as a negative. Write your beef in the news paper. Something.
